     We all must remember to rest.  You and I live in a society of chronic sleep deprivation.  Since when did it become okay not to sleep?  People catch up on their DVRs and troll on social media web sites reading about people we aren't really that interested in and then get up for work the next day wondering why we fall asleep at our desks!  Here are five tips to communing with the Sand Man:
  1. Limit your liquid a few hours before bed time.  This helps you to not get woken up to go to the bathroom.
  2. Don't eat a big meal before bed.  The digestive movement can keep us both up.
  3. Have clean sheets!  Nothing kills the mood more than dirty bedding and a disorganized room.  It creates a since of chaos which isn't "dream land" compatible.
  4. Restful foods like a small cup of tea can help set the intention for the night.
  5. Be consistent and find what works for you.

     Remember that what you eat can either help or hinder your rest.
